Join PWOW for May's Encouragement Luncheon featuring Anji Maddox, Founder of She Spies Private Eye, Inc., who will speak on "How to Keep Going & Growing in your Business & Professional Life."

Anji Maddox earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston-Victoria. A professor helped her land a job in Adult Probation, writing pre-sentence investigation reports, which were vital in helping judges determine the appropriate sentence for defendants. This job required extensive investigative skills, resourcefulness and the ability to be exceptionally detail oriented.

During a college internship with the Victoria County Juvenile Probation Department, she cut her teeth as a Juvenile Probation Officer (JPO) and found that kids responded very favorably to her compassionate approach. Anji spent the next seven years as a JPO refining her skills and developing a real passion for helping the challenged and at-risk youth with whom she was appointed to work.

Anji next joined the Austin Police Department (APD) as a Background Investigator. It was during her time with the APD that her love of investigations led to the realization that she wanted to become an independent private investigator. In 2003, following an apprenticeship, she opened She Spies Private Eye, Inc., which has been flourishing ever since. She quickly learned you can’t be easily intimidated, must work 24/7, be fearless, get your hands dirty and be a great actress.

Anji has an undeniable love for child custody cases and is exceptionally interested in helping the children that are frequently caught in the middle of ugly divorce settlements or court cases. This no doubt stems from her previous involvement as a JPO and the fact that she is a very proud mother of three children and grandmother of 5 with a 6th one on the way.
